Job Description

The key responsibilities of the Logistics Coordinator will be:

• Preparation and processing of paperwork for shipments; including despatch notes, commercial invoices, customs, and other shipping documentation required to facilitate timely and accurate despatch of customer and supplier shipments
• Coordinate import shipment for customs clearance & delivery
• Checking customs documentation such as import/export declarations, resolving queries, and ensuring records are accurate and up to date.
• Filing of all shipping documentation
• Ensuring shipments are sent out in a timely manner and traced from office to customer site
• Internal liaison with the Sales Team, assisting with quotations and service information.

The Successful Applicant

The successful Logistics Coordinator will have:

• Knowledge of preparing shipping paperwork and dealing with couriers.
• Knowledge and have used Microsoft packages including Excel, Word, and Outlook previously.
• Ability to understand and follow company procedures and processes.
• Attention to detail.
• Has worked for a freight forwarder, focusing on imports/exportsalthough this is preferred, our client would look at candidates that have strong and pacey administration skills that are willing to learn quickly.
• Excellent customer service skills and confidence on the phone, with the ability to communicate effectively in both a written and verbal capacitythis is key to make the role a success.
