DAS Law is recruiting for a Legal Assistant to join our Litigation & Dispute Management team in central Bristol.

This role will involve working with a team of Legal Assistants to provide administrative & basic fee-earning support to the wider Litigation & Dispute Management department, a busy team made up of around 45 fee-earners.

In addition to the above, you can expect to provide administrative support to the team including;

• Opening new files and allocating these to the relevant team;
• Copying documents and preparing court bundles;
• Assisting with disclosure;
• Preparing and sending standard letters to clients;
• Dealing effectively and efficiently with the financial aspects of cases, including billing, paying invoices and liaising with Counsel and experts on fees;
• Handling any other routine duties delegated by fee earners in the management of their cases.

We would like to hear from candidates with experience in a similar position (ideally assisting in handling caseloads in a Legal environment) who can demonstrate:

• Organisation skills in order to manage a busy schedule of tasks delegated to the Legal Assistant team;
• Ability to produce consistently high quality and accurate work;
• Commitment to paying attention to detail;
• Team working skills, willing to step in and help colleagues;
• Willing to take on a broad range of tasks including letter writing, bundling and a range of administrative support functions; and
• An ability to develop expertise to take on a basic fee earning function in due course
