Permanent Contract
3 Full Time Posts (37 hours per week)
We are looking to recruit full time Control Desk and Research Operators to be based in Leeds.
The overall purpose of the role is to support the Regional Senior Ports Officer, Regional Ports Co-coordinator, Regional Ports Analyst, Senior Ports Officer and Regional Ports Tactical Adviser in the efficient running of port operations in the North East of England. Specifically, to assist with the co-ordination of tasking of staff and CT activity; recording of performance data and management information, and intelligence research to support frontline staff.
Eligible candidates will come with:

  • Proven office experience
  • Previous experience within an intelligence environment and/or experience of research, along with a good understanding of the National Standards of Intelligence Management (NSIM)
  • Experience of receiving and assessing intelligence
  • Good working knowledge of and ability to operate, computerised databases

We also require individuals who are prepared to work flexible hours. You must be willing and able to travel for business purposes and potentially to work for extended periods across or outside the NE Region.
The successful candidate must be a British Citizen and eligible to hold a British Passport to work in the CTP NE and will be subject to personal and financial vetting checks prior to appointment and then attain ‘developed vetting’ status. For security reasons you should not discuss your application with anyone other than your immediate family.
This post is suitable for job share and will attract 14% shift allowance and weekend enhancements.

Therefore, where this applies, applicants may be refused on the grounds that it was not possible to vet them to the appropriate standard.
