Financial Crime Intelligence Officer Job Opening in Milton Keynes

Financial crime often funds much darker criminal activities. As our Line 2 Financial Crime Team continues to expand to protect our customers and communities from these terrible crimes, we’re now seeking an eagle-eyed expert to join us.

That’s where you come in. You’ll collaborate across our Financial Intelligence Unit. Your ability to uncover actionable information quickly and effectively will make you a key player. You’ll develop your career at the heart of the action.

What you’ll be doing

  • Providing intelligence support to the Financial Intelligence Manager within the unit in respect to conducting reviews of products and services offered
  • Assessing risks to the bank and determining exposure to terrorist financing and other forms of financial crime
  • Liaising with Counter Terrorism Policing, National Crime Agency (NCA), Financial Intelligence Units (FIU’s) and UK Police Forces to scope, obtain, develop and share intelligence
  • Maintaining databases and control sheets which are used to record sensitive financial intelligence
  • Contributing intelligence products for dissemination via the FIU SharePoint
  • Protecting best interests of customers while ensuring a high level of integrity in complying with requirements set out by regulators

What we’re looking for

  • Proven experience with Financial Crime Investigations, or similar law enforcement background
  • Working knowledge of current typologies linked to terrorism, money laundering, human trafficking and bribery and corruption
  • Sound decision making and judgement skills, with the ability to assimilate and analyse information in varied circumstances
  • Proven ability to identify and manage risks
  • Recognised industry qualification in Financial Crime, or the appropriate level of proven experience

From a criminal law perspective, we’re looking for knowledge of
