Advanced Paediatric Occupational Therapist Job Openings in Cardiff

We are inviting application from occupational therapists with senior experience in paediatrics and/or neurosciences who are driven to achieve the best outcomes for our children and young people in Cardiff Special Schools. You will join our valued and established occupational therapy team who work closely with other therapies, nursing, medical and teaching staff to delivery Person Centred processes to our children.
Cardiff Special schools provide additional learning provision for pupils age 319yrs with neuro-developmental and neurodisability were learning disability also affect engagement and participation in occupations across home and school. In your role you will work closely with the existing Band 7 paediatric occupational therapist and paediatric occupational therapy service manager to design and deliver tailored, direct occupational therapy and to support the development of a universal and targeted delivery which enables parent, teacher and pupils to self manage by enhancing the home and school environments, catalysing development across occupational performance areas. This approach adopts the principles of Care Aims, Prudent Care and the Additional Learning Needs and Education Tribunal Act (ALNET), keeping the child and family at the centre.
The role requires you to have advanced clinical reasoning skills as evidenced within you practice experience and excellent communication skills to work with colleagues from health, education and social care, coproducing plans and prioritising care. An understanding of service redesign and implementation of service change is required to support the implmentation of ALNET and the vision for Cardiff schools
You will be actively supported to develop your own skills and will receive regular supervision. You will influence service developments and delivery and be expected to lead training within the occupational therapy service.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
