Principle Engineer – Cyber Resilience
Would you like to play a key role in Defence Information vision to be a premier provider of business and mission critical, highly secure and assured information systems and services across our UK and international markets? We currently have a vacancy for a Principle Engineer – Future Networks at our site in Christchurch.
As a Principle Engineer – Future Networks, you will be collaborating securely in order to gain information advantage. This role will give you the opportunity to rapidly deployable secure communications globally enabling operational advantage whilst using a fusion of information intelligently to enable informed decision making.
This is a new role in the business that will provide the successful candidate the opportunity to lead and shape how technology drives the business forward over the coming years.
Your main responsibilities as a Principle Engineer – Cyber Resilience will involve:
Establishing and delivering a strategic roadmap for cyber resilience technologies to be incorporated in military deployable communication and information systems aligned to evolving customer requirements
Performing engineering, analysis, modelling & simulation to realise customer requirements and explain technology options and implications
Comprehensive understanding of information assurance products, including competitor activity and the latest leading edge industrial and academic developments, establish and own technical relationships with customers and suppliers
Developing security architectures and designs to keep our products resistant to current and emerging cyber threats
Influencing technology selection and integration
Your skills and qualifications:
Essential skills Quantum Computing, Post Quantum Cryptography, Quantum Key Distribution Practical application of blockchain Security implications relating to the integration of COTS equipment and software Cloud computing and encryption Military communications and information systems and technologies
Desirable skills Knowledge of Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) Understanding of and certification to ISO/IEC 27000 standards
